The Miki Studer Benefit will be held Saturday, April 14, starting at 1 p.m. at Mike’s Bay Town Bar and Grill, Bay City.
There will be raffle tickets, door prizes, a silent auction and bake sale.
Miki (Nadeau) Studer has been working as a full-time cook for Mike’s Bay Town for 14 years. She is a widow and lives in Diamond Bluff.
She had a car accident in 1994 that almost completely severed her lower left leg. She is now 40-years-old and is no longer able to function as she used to.
Her orthopedic surgeon recommended a below-the-knee amputation. She had the surgery on Jan. 30. A prosthetic device will follow.
The surgery is very important to her; it will give her the ability to walk normally for the first time in a very long time!
All proceeds will go to help her pay for a prosthetic leg, supplies and medical expenses.
Donations are being accepted by mail or in person at: Hiawatha National Bank/Miki Studer Benefit, P.O. Box 156/N1555 770th St., Hager City, WI 54014.
