Josephine Nelson, 88

Josephine Rose (Reich) Nelson, age 88, of Beldenville, died Sunday, March 11, at the Ellsworth Care Center.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1924, to Julius and Rose (Landgraf) Reich in Red Wing, Minn. She graduated from Red Wing High School. She married Robert Nelson on Sept. 14, 1946. She was a homemaker and helped out on the farm.

Josie was very involved at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church as a member of the Ladies Aid and Circle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Orville; and sister Luella.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; sister Dorothy Bjorklund of Bloomington, Minn.; children Mike (RoseAnn) Nelson of Eisdale, Wis., Rodney (Judy) Nelson of Beldenville, Jeffrey Nelson of Beldenville; nine grandchildren; one step-grandchild; two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, with the Reverend Brad Lindberg officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Private family burial will be at a later date.
