Remodelers find .22 rifle in wall of Hudson home

HUDSON - A homeowner on Sixth Street was doing was some remodeling when he made a rather unsettling discovery.

According to Lt. Eric Atkinson of the Hudson Police Department, while removing some drywall, the homeowner found part of a .22-caliber rifle wrapped in plastic behind the Sheetrock. The stock of the gun had been removed and the barrel had been sawed off.

Det. Geoff Willems said the department is checking with other law enforcement agencies about the gun and with bulletins listing weapons suspected of being used in crimes.
