PRESCOTT—Either it’s seen as a reasonable preparation for future growth or an unneeded detriment to the community.
The north-south corridor has been proposed as a new highway bypass of Prescott in the future. The proposal was recommended for approval by the city’s planning commission earlier this month on a 4-3 vote and is scheduled for action by the full city council at its Monday, April 9, meeting.
Designating such a corridor originated with the comprehensive plan created for the city in 2000 and updated in 2002, according to Prescott Mayor Mike Hunter.
