Kevin Love had a game-high 25 points and 16 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who have dropped three of their last four. Nikola Pekovic added 20 points and nine boards, while Luke Ridnour had 18 points and 13 assists in a losing effort. Minnesota is right back on the court this evening to square off against the Lakers in Los Angeles and wraps up a seven-game road swing tomorrow at Sacramento.

Despite rumors spreading throughout the day that the Wolves were working on a trade deadline deal that would have brought Portland's Jamal Crawford to Minnesota, the day ended without any moves by Timberwolves management.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers are off this weekend. They continue NIT action on Monday against the Miami Hurricanes in the second round from Coral Gables. The Gophers beat La Salle 70-61 on Wednesday in opening round action. The victory marked the 100th career win for head coach Tubby Smith at Minnesota.
