Family Dollar in SV nears opening

SPRING VALLEY—The new Family Dollar store in Spring Valley is expected to open this week.

The store is opening in a building next to Spring Valley Foods along CTH B at the village’s main entrance.

Every Family Dollar store has the same layout and Spring Valley’s will be no different. So area residents who are familiar with the store in Ellsworth, for example, should have no trouble finding their way around the new Spring Valley outlet.

Lissette Ritchie, a Rice Lake native who has been with the discount chain since 2006, will be the manager in Spring Valley. Trevor Tabor of Menomonie will be the first assistant manager and there will be another assistant, among 8-to-10 other employees.

The chain’s communications director was quoted as saying pride is taken in being a neighborhood store emphasizing value and convenience. Both name brands and private brands are offered. A corporate giving program has also been established; members of organizations can learn more by visiting www.familydollar.com and clicking on “giving back.”

The new store’s doors are scheduled to open at 8 a.m. this Thursday. A grand opening is set for Thursday, April 5.
