A maker of gun-related products is closing a plant near La Crosse, putting 130 people out of work. A-T-K Ammunition of Minnesota says most of its operations at Brice Prairie will shut down by the end of May. The nearly 50-year-old plant makes gun-cleaning products, targets, scope mounts, and replacement gun stocks. The closing comes less than a year after A-T-K added employees at Brice Prairie, when it brought back a product line from overseas. A-T-K is based in Anoka, near Minnesota’s Twin Cities. It also plans to reduce operations at a plant in Fenton Missouri.
