Ellsworth, Prescott winners at Prescott Invitational
The Prescott girls and Ellsworth guys were winners of the 2012 Prescott Invitational meet Tuesday at Laney Field.
PRESCOTT - The Prescott girls and Ellsworth boys were winners of the 2012 Prescott Invitational track and field meet meet Tuesday at Laney Field.
The PHS girls edged out Ellsworth by a single point 104-103 in the five team meet. The Panther boys' won the meet with 115 points while Prescott was second with 99.
Prescott's boys' team won three relays but Ellsworth had individual winners such as Brett Freier in the 110-meter high hurdles, Jaylen Pavloski in the mile run, Matt priest in the two-mile run, Logan Blodgett in the shot put and Sam Mahaffey in the pole vault. Prescott's Matt Pechacek won the 400, Cole Hauenstein won the 800, Sam Smith won the long jump and the 100-meter dash and Nick Jacobsen won the discus.
Prescott's girls' squad won the mile and two mile relay along with Emily Bayer in the 400, Autumn Stees in the 800 and the long jump, Jessica Hanneman in the discus and Victoria Simones won the mile run.
Ellsworth's winners were Lydia Kuhl in both hurdles runs, Olivia Helmer in the 200 and Amy Rinke in the shot put.
