Ellsworth nine wins season opener
Ellsworth High School's baseball team won both its first regular season game and Middle Border Conference contest Thursday 12-0 in five innings over Durand.
HAGER CITY - Ellsworth High School's baseball team won both its first regular season game and Middle Border Conference contest Thursday 12-0 in five innings over Durand.
Ellsworth plated seven runs in the first inning and added four more in three innings. Jake Betthauser led EHS with three hits and three RBIs. Mitch Matter drove in two runs for Ellsworth.
Winning pitcher James Georgakas struck out 12 Durand batters.
