MILWAUKEE - Monta Ellis scored 25 points and handed out nine assists as the Milwaukee Bucks won their third straight game in a 95-90 win over Charlotte.

Milwaukee’s fifth win in the last six outings moved the team with a game of the New York Knicks in the race for the final playoff spot from the Eastern Division. The hapless Bobcats actually took an 84-83 lead with 3:42 to play and Bucks Coach Scott Skiles wasn’t pleased with his team’s play. Ersan Ilyasova produced another double-double with twelve points and 15 rebounds. Skiles was unhappy because Charlotte outrebounded his team 57-45 and outscored the Bucks in the paint 46-42. Bryon Mullens scored 31 points and took down 14 rebounds in the loss. It was the 10th straight loss for the Bobcats.

Charlotte forward Eduardo Najera was knocked out of the game by an elbow to the head early in the second quarter. The team doctor said he had a fracture frontal bone.

More than two months after it happened, a police report indicates six Marquette University basketball players were involved in a fight at a Milwaukee night club. The six were given tickets for being in a club where alcohol is served, despite being underage. They were not charged in connection with the January 29th fight at the club called Apartment 720. When the call went out that night a total of 11 Milwaukee police squad cars responded. At least two big fights were reported. The players named were Todd Mayo, Vander Blue, Jamail Jones, Juan Anderson, Derrick Wilson and Jake Thomas.
