BEAUTIFY ELLSWORTH FOR THE SESQUICENTENNIAL (150TH) CELEBRATION!
The Village of Ellsworth Public Works Department crew will pick-up "yard waste" placed in biodegradable bags, bags which must be purchased at the Village Hall (.75 cents each) from residential streets on Monday, April 23, 2012; please have bags out at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
All bags must be placed on the boulevard area adjacent to the street, away from your garbage. Pickup after this date will result in a minimum pickup charge of $25.00.
•Crews will collect from each area one time only!
•Pickup does not include tree trimming or other debris.
The village demo site will be open additional hours during clean-up week as follows:
April 14th - 21st:
Monday thru Friday: 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Saturday (14th & 21st) 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Yard waste, brush, leaves, will be accepted free of charge. All items must be dumped from containers and plastic bags.
Village residents must have a 2012 dump sticker to enter the demo site, new stickers are available at the Village Hall, free of charge.
To dispose of construction materials, contact the Village Clerk’s office to pay the required fee before
dumping, receipt must be given to Demo Site Attendant. Fees: $15.00 per pickup load and $50.00 per dump truck. There is a $20.00 fee to open the demo site during closed hours. To dispose of other items, contact your garbage hauler or Pierce County Solid Waste/Recycling Center at 273-3092 or visit their website at www.co.pierce.wi.us many items accepted daily
Regular Demo Site hours: (For Village residents only)
April-October:
Saturday: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Wednesday: 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
November:
Saturday: 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
December thru March:
First Saturday of each month 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Now that weather permits, the Village Board also encourages residents to dispose of unsightly debris, junk, and inoperable and unregistered vehicles. The Ellsworth Police Dept. will soon begin enforcing the portion of the municipal code that pertains to these matters bringing residents into compliance with the code.
