Red Wing man arrested twice within a two-hour period

RED WING - A Red Wing man was booked into Goodhue County Jail twice within two hours Sunday morning, the Red Wing Police Department reported.

Nicolas Barry, 1308 Walter Ave., was first booked in on a fourth-degree DWI charge and a stop sign violation charge at 6:31 a.m. After he was released on a promise to appear in court, Barry stopped at Kwik Trip, 301 E. Seventh St., police said

Employees there reported that Barry smashed a glass door, valued at $1,000. After police arrived, Barry was arrested again. Jail records show he was booked in at 8:13 a.m., this time on a third-degree DWI charge and a third-degree damage to property charge.

He was released later that day, signing a promise to appear in court June 21.
