EHS baseball notches another MBC shutout

AMERY - Ellsworth senior Dennis Schutz drove in three runs and had two base hits as the Panthers beat Amery 10-0 in six innings Tuesday.

Brandon Voelker and James Georgakas added two RBI each for Ellsworth (2-0, 2-0 Middle Border) which had 10 hits for the game.

Brady Schroeder struck out 10 hitters in six innings of work to pick up the shutout victory. Schroeder held Amery to just three hits.

The Panthers scored single runs in the first and second innings before breaking the game open with a five-run fourth inning. Ellsworth went on to add a run in the fifth and two in the sixth for the win.

The Panthers face Lake City Thursday in Lake City.
