PHS improves to 4-0 with 14-2 thumping of New Richmond

Prescott High School's baseball team started well and finished strong in 14-2 thumping of New Richmond Friday in Middle Border Conference play.

NEW RICHMOND - Prescott High School's baseball team started well and finished strong in 14-2 thumping of New Richmond Friday in Middle Border Conference play Friday.

The Cardinals took an 8-0 lead after two and half innings and plated three runs apiece in the sixth and seventh innings unanswered.

PHS had 12 hits led by Logan Johnson's three. He also led the team with four runs scored. Mike Lytle had two hits, both doubles, with two runs scored and a team-best three RBIs. Bryan Early also drive in three runs.

Lytle was also the winning pitcher, going four innings while Billy Brookshaw handled the last three.
