Kenseth qualifies for Texas race in second

FT. WORTH, Tex. - Defending race champion Matt Kenseth starts second at tomorrow’s Sprint Cup Samsung Mobile 500 at Fort Worth, Texas.

He finished just behind Martin Truex Junior, who picked up his first pole position of the young season. Paul Menard starts 11th and Travis Kvapil takes off 37th.

Rickey Stenhouse Junior held off Eau Claire’s Paul Menard to win the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 last night. Menard was second at the Texas Motor Speedway and Beloit-born Danica Patrick had a solid eighth-place finish. The only other driver in the field with a Wisconsin connection was Sparta’s Tim Schendel, who finished 27th.
