DURAND - Prescott's baseball team was one of the few county prep sports teams to play Monday as three straight evenings of wet weather left many area fields unplayable.
The Cardinals traveled to Durand and shut out the Panthers 11-0 in a five-inning Middle Border Conference league game.
PHS's lead-off hitter, Billy Brookshaw, went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. He also stole two bases. Teammate Mike Lytle went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Brookshaw also scored twice. Jake Hintz and Connor Lousch also drove in runs and had hits.
Lousch was the winning pitcher tossing a one-hitter with five strikeouts.
