It is a timed contest consisting of 35 questions that have to be answered in only 30 minutes. Students have to think to answer questions like “If the square root of the perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 6, what is the length of one side of the triangle?” (The answer is 12.)
The league accepts the names and scores of the top students who participated from each grade. Their team and individual scores are ranked as they compare to other participating schools throughout the state.
