SV/PC beats Mondovi in D-SC play 6-1
Spring Valley/Plum City beat Mondovi 6-1 in Dunn-St. Croix action Tuesday behind winning pitcher Rachel Samdahl's 11 strikeouts.
MONDOVI - Spring Valley/Plum City beat Mondovi 6-1 in Dunn-St. Croix action Tuesday behind winning pitcher Rachel Samdahl's 11 strikeouts.
Samdahl only allowed four hits and walked zero Mondovi batters.
The Cardinals were led by Megan Manor and Ellen Hofacker's two hits. Hofacker also drove in two runs while McKenna Mattison hit a double. Manor scored twice. SV/PC had nine hits and took advantage of three Mondovi errors.
SV/PC improves to 2-1 in the league (2-3 overall). They are at Elk Mound Thursday.
