Four state business leaders to be honored at Milwaukee banquet

MILWAUKEE - Four Wisconsin business leaders will be honored tonight by the Wisconsin Junior Achievement program.

Frederick Miller of Miller Brewing, Daniel Spalding of School Specialty, Frederick Stratton Junior of Briggs-and-Stratton, and Ron Wanek of Ashley Furniture will be inducted into the Wisconsin Business Hall-of-Fame. Miller and Spalding are being honored posthumously.

Over 500 people are expected to attend the ceremony, at a banquet in Milwaukee. The event is designed to honor business leadership, while raising proceeds for the Junior Achievement program. Also, Joe Bartolotta of Bartolotta Restaurants will receive the group’s Distinguished Executive award. And Peggy Williams-Smith of Marcus Hotels will be given the Peak Performer award.
