The Minnesota Vikings will play in the same old Metrodome this fall but there will be a bit of "interior freshening" for players and fans. Word is that two new scoreboards arrive this summer to replace the 23-year-old boards on the upper deck over Mall Of America Field. The LED displays should be up by August 1st.

The University of Minnesota football team is scheduled to practice today as it winds down the spring practice period. The Golden Gophers will host their annual spring football game tomorrow morning at TCF Bank Stadium at 11 a.m. Gopher head coach Jerry Kill says his main goal for tomorrow's intrasquad game is to make sure his players leave the game healthy, but also to continue to build some positive momentum into the summer workout period. Tomorrow's event is free and open to the public.
