Panthers nine keep rolling, now 6-0 after beating New Richmond

NEW RICHMOND - Ellsworth pitcher James Georgakas struck out 10 New Richmond batters Thursday in five innings and the Panthers rolled to their sixth consecutive win.
Ellsworth (6-0, 5-0 Middle Border) got two RBIs from Dennis Schutz in a 7-3 victory in New Richmond. The game marked just the second time this season the Panthers have given up a run.
Ellsworth held a 3-0 lead after the second inning but New Richmond came back in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game 3-3.
The Panthers regained the lead in the third inning and added two more runs in the fourth for a 6-3 advantage. Ellsworth pushed one more run across in the seventh.
New Richmond had just four hits in the game and made eight errors.
Ellsworth plays at the Prescott Invitational Saturday at Firehall Field. Ellsworth will take on Green Bay Preble and Eau Claire Regis.
