Motorcyclists and their rides filled the main street and village park in Maiden Rock Saturday for the annual Spring Flood Run. As many as 30,000 Harley Davidsons, Suzukis, Yamahas, Kawasaskis and other cycle brands were estimated to have filled the roadways along the Mississippi and St. Croix river valleys. Law enforcement agencies maintained a high presence during the day-long event. Businesses and communities catered to the visitors with refreshment specials and cyclists’ gear on display. The flood run is part of a fundraising effort for Gillette Children’s Hospital in Minnesota.
