River Falls: Take Back the Night

From 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 26, people can gather in River Falls to rally against sexual violence at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 211 E. Division Street. The gathering is sponsored locally by Turningpoint domestic abuse shelter and St. Croix Valley SART (Sexual Assault Response Team).

Turningpoint’s Executive Director Kim Wojcik called the event a “truly collaborative effort” between the two organizations and added: “I hope everyone can attend or encourage others to come…Wear teal if you have any. Teal is the color for sexual assault awareness.”

Thursday night’s Take Back the Night starts with a 6 p.m. rally. There is also a 7 p.m. march, and an 8 p.m. candlelight vigil.
