UW-Extension staff
The Pierce County UW-Extension Office held a brief celebration outside the county board room last week before the monthly meeting to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Cooperative Extension. The agency was started by Earnest L. Luther in Oneida County in February 1912, with the mission of extending the University of Wisconsin’s resources to the people of the state wherever they live and work. Pictured is the UW-Extension staff for Pierce County: Cindy Miller, Sandy Radkey, secretaries, Sarah Johnson, Nutrition Educator, Lori Zierl, Family Living Agent, Diana Alfuth, Horticulture Educator, Greg Andrews, Department Head/Agricultural Agent, and Frank Ginther, 4-H Youth Development Agent.
