NEY YORK CITY - Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson is getting praise for trading up, then drafting Michigan State defensive end Jerel Worthy in the second round of the NFL draft.

The Packers didn’t put much pressure on the quarterback last season and Worthy seems to address that lacking. The Packers traded picks number 59 and 123 overall to get Worthy.

Then, they traded a third round and a fifth round pick to move up and select defensive back Casey Hayward of Vanderbilt. The SEC standout had 13 interceptions and 21 passes defended at Vandy.
