UPDATE: Dunn County man in critical conditon after being struck by car
Area News-- A Dunn County man was struck by a car Wednesday night while walking alongside the road.
RIDGELAND - A Dunn County man was struck by a car Wednesday night while walking alongside the road.
Casey D. Thompson, 23, Ridgeland, was walking with a friend, eastbound on Sheridan St. in the village of Ridgeland when he was struck by a car, driven by Clarence J. Bever IV, 27, Ridgeland. Bever was traveling eastbound on Sheridan St. as well.
The Dunn County Communications Center reported the accident occurred at 8:25 p.m.
Thompson was flown to Regions Hospital in St. Paul by Lifelink Helicopter, where a spokesperson said he was in critical condition. Sheriff Dennis Smith added no one else was injured and alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor.
The Dunn County Sheriff's Department was also assisted by the Ridgeland Fire Department and Dallas Ambulance Service.
