Village Committee recommends approval of developement of old American Legion property

The Finance, Purchasing and Buildings Committee of the Ellsworth Village Board approved a recommendation to the full board to support a redevelopment of the old U.S. Army Reserve Engineers base.

The Finance, Purchasing and Buildings Committee of the Ellsworth Village Board approved a recommendation to the full board to support a redevelopment of the old U.S. Army Reserve Engineers base on Main St. in the Midway section.

The committee made their recommendation at their meeting Thursday evening in the Village Hall. The committee approved the sale of $1,385,000 of taxable general obligation corporate purpose bonds, of that $300,000 is for TID 10, balance for refinancing of the 2011 State Trust Fund Loan.

The committee met with the developer during Thursday's meeting in closed session and approved the recommendation out of closed session.

The proposal will go before the full board at their monthly meeting Monday evening starting at 7 p.m.
