Chief Deputy announces retirement

The turnover in personnel at the Pierce County Sheriff's Department continues.
It was announced during the Law Enforcement Committee meeting Thursday Chief Deputy Neil Gulbranson is retiring June 22 after 41 years with the Department. Gulbranson is the second administration official to leave this year after Lieutenant Dennis Sorenson retired in February.
Sheriff Nancy Hove also alerted the committee within the next two months they should get the final report from the DLR Group of KKE for their recommendations on the jail. The options are either remodeling, addition or building a new jail and will have the financial breakdowns of each.
The committee also approved Hove and D.A.R.E. Officer Steve Albarado to attend the International D.A.R.E. conference July 24-26 in Atlanta.
Jim Ross and Jon Aubart were also reelected Chair and Vice-Chair of the committee,
