Brewers lose to Giants and beset with more injuries

Lefty Madison Bumgarner pitched seven strong innings for the Giants and drove in his team’s first run with a double. He earned his fifth win of the young season. Ryan Braun homered in his return to the lineup after missing some time with a sore right Achilles tendon.
Randy Wolf started for the Brewers and took his third loss in five decisions. The two teams meet in the rubber game of the series this afternoon at 3:05 CDT.

Four times in four games a Milwaukee Brewer player has been hit by injury. Carlos Gonzalez and Alex Gonzalez have been put on the disabled list now. Carlos Gonzalez strained his left hamstring Friday and Alez Gonzalez is on crutches with a knee injury after hurting himself while stealing a base Saturday. The Brewers will bring up infielders Taylor Green and Edwin Maysonet from Triple-A Nashville for today’s game. Matt Gamel tore the ACL in his right knee Tuesday and went on the DL. Only Ryan Braun’s Achilles injury wasn’t bad enough to put him out of action.
