Senior Halle Hatch threw a complete game and hit a home run to give Ellsworth a 6-1 victory against New Richmond Tuesday in Ellsworth.
Hatch allowed six hits and two walks while striking out three to get the win. She was also 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the second inning.
New Richmond defeated the Panthers 5-4 earlier in the season and Ellsworth head coach Ryan Casper said it was a nice to return the favor.
“New Richmond had beaten us in the first game, so that was a payback game,” he said.
Ellsworth junior Riley Harrison went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and ninth-grader Serena Hoisington finished 1-for-3 with three RBI in the victory.
Ashley Langer pitched all seven innings for New Richmond (4-6, 4-4 Middle Border), giving up nine hits and six walks. She struck out four and was 1-for-3 at the plate.
The Panthers travel to face Osceola today.
