ST. PAUL - The next brick has been set in a possible football stadium deal at the capitol.
With the Minnesota Vikings agreeing to pay an extra $50-million dollars as part of their share, the Minnesota state House of Representatives has passed a stadium deal by a vote of 71-60. The agreement was hammered out in a conference committee which held negotiations with the team yesterday and on both Senate and House versions passed earlier this week.
The Vikings' share of the nearly one-billion dollar stadium is now up to $477-million dollars. The Senate will take up the bill later this morning at 9 am.
