HOULTON -- For decades, St. Croix Valley residents have been voicing their opinions about building a new bridge between Minnesota and Wisconsin -- but Monday marks the first public meeting on an approved span.
The St. Croix Crossing project open house is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30pm on Monday -- and is being held near where the span will end, at the Houlton, Wisconsin Elementary School.
The new $675-million bridge, which will start just south of Stillwater, has a proposed completion date of 2016.
