EPC girls place fifth at Colfax Invite
The Elmwood/Plum City girls track and field team finished third Tuesday at the 14-team Colfax Invitational Tuesday.
COLFAX - The Elmwood/Plum City girls track and field team finished third Tuesday at the 14-team Colfax Invitational Tuesday.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Heather Von Holtum, Kaitlyn Lee, Jessica Olson and Becky Hartung won in 4 minutes, 18.6 seconds while the 4x800 team of Hartung, Amber Osteen, Shelby Kannel and Elaina Danzinger took second in 10:39.7.
Danzinger had a second-place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:28.7 and took third in the 1,600 in 5:47.2.
Von Holtum also had a second-place finish in the 400 in 1:03.5.
Marah Boyer took third in the long jump, going 15 feet, 4 inches.
The Elmwood/Plum City boys track and field team finished 11th out of 14 teams and had the 4x400 relay team capture sixth place.
Seth Jones won the 800-meter run in 2:05.10, he also finished second in the mile run.
Spring Valley's girls were fifth and the boys seventh in the same meet.
SV's Conner Sieracki won the 3200-meter run in 10:36. Valley's Breanna Colbenson won both the 1600 and 3200-meter runs.
