Teenagers have always had a feeling of invincibility that no matter what happens to them, they will be okay.

Teenagers have always had a feeling of invincibility that no matter what happens to them, they will be okay.

Thursday, the junior and senior classes at Ellsworth High School were shown how in an instant their lives and those around them could change forever.

The Arrive Alive club held its bi-annual mock accident in the parking lot which illustrated the goals of each service – police, fire and ambulance – at the scene.

It was determined midway through one of the victims died. Therefore, the medical examiner and funeral director arrived to escort him away. Students also saw one of the drivers go through a field sobriety test before being arrested for drunk driving.

After the accident was done, students then walked into the gymnasium where the mock funeral was held and the real portion began.
