SIU-Edwardsville approves new chancellor from UW-Stout
Western Wisconsin News-- The Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees made it official today and hired UW-Stout provost Julie Furst-Bowe as the new chancellor of SIU’s campus in Edwardsville.
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees made it official today and hired UW-Stout provost Julie Furst-Bowe as the new chancellor of SIU’s campus in Edwardsville.
A selection committee chose Furst-Bowe last month to replace Vaughn Vandegrift, who’s retiring. Furst-Bowe had been at the Stout campus in Menomonie since 1990. And she was the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs since 2005.
At Edwardsville, she’ll lead a school with 14,000 students.
