Logano wins second straight Nationwide Series race
Wisconsin Sports-- Joey Logano won his second straight Nationwide Series race by taking the VFW Sport Clips 200 at Darlington Motor Speedway last night.
DARLINGTON, S.C. - Joey Logano won his second straight Nationwide Series race by taking the VFW Sport Clips 200 at Darlington Motor Speedway last night.
He drove away from his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin after a restart to claim his third victory of the season. After the race, Logano called Elliott Sadler to apologize for bumping him and causing a wreck on the legendary track.
Beloit native Danica Patrick was the only Wisconsin driver in the field and she finished 12th.

Eau Claire’s Paul Menard has the best starting position among four drivers with Wisconsin connections in tonight’s Sprint Cup Series Southern 500. Menard will start 14th. Points leader Greg Biffle starts on the pole. Cambridge native Matt Kenseth, second in the points standings, takes off 19th. Travis Kvapil of Janesville starts 33rd and Beloit-born Danica Patrick starts 38th.
