CHARLOTTE - We find out tomorrow what the NASCAR spokespeople were talking about when they used the words "new number" and "Matt Kenseth" in the same sentence.
The Cambridge native says he's keeping the number-17 on his car. The Kenseth team says it will have the announcement of a new "multi-year partner" tomorrow at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. Whatever the announcement turns out to be, Kenseth's blue-and-yellow Best Buy No.-17 ride is expected to change only a little bit.

Jimmie Johnson ended his own streak of 17 races without a win, taking the checkered flag at the Bojangles Southern 500 in Darlington, South Carolina, last night. After a bit of a wait, that's victory number-200 for the Rick Hendricks Racing Team. Johnson held off Denny Hamlin to win. A sixth place finish by Wisconsin driver Matt Kenseth is enough to keep him in second place in the Sprint Cup Standings so far this season. Eau Claire's Paul Menard finished 13th and Beloit-born Danica Patrick was 31st in her first Sprint Cup ride of the year. Janesville driver Travis Kvapil finished right behind her in 32nd.
