A six-run fourth inning propelled Ellsworth to an 11-7 victory Tuesday against River Falls in Ellsworth.
The non-conference contest was a make-up from earlier in the season.
Senior Mariah Diercks went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBI to lead the Panthers (13-4, 10-3 Middle Border). Junior Riley Harrison was 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI and senior Halle Hatch threw 6 2/3 to pick up the win. She gave up three runs in the first inning and four in the seventh inning before ninth-grader Serena Hoisington closed out the victory by getting the final out with the bases loaded.
“She just kind of tired out at the end there,” Ellsworth head coach Ryan Casper said of Hatch.
Hatch struck out three. The Panthers finished with 11 hits and one error in the win.
Ellsworth will face Durand Thursday in Durand.
