DETROIT - Minnesota shortstop Brian Dozier cracked a three-run homer and Trevor Plouffe added a two-run shot to help the Twins take down the Tigers 11-7.

It was the second home run of the year for Dozier and Plouffe, who helped the Twins snap a two-game losing streak. Alex Burnett picked up his first win of the season in relief of Nick Blackburn, who was pulled after a five-run second inning. Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-5 with two RBI for the Tigers, who dropped to 18-and-19 on the season. Rick Porcello gave up six runs in four frames, but it was Duane Below who was tagged with the loss.

The same two teams play today at 12:05 p.m.

The Twins placed catcher Ryan Doumit on the 15-day disabled list with a right calf strain. Doumit suffered the injury during last night's 11-7 win over Detroit. Doumit drove in a run in the victory and had been hitting .264 on the season with five home runs and 24 runs batted in. Minnesota recalled outfielder Ben Revere from Class AAA Rochester to take Doumit's spot on the roster. Revere has hit .330 with the Red Wings in 23 games this year.
