STILLWATER - With construction of a new, four-lane bridge over the St. Croix River to start in the spring of next year, another informational open house meeting is scheduled to be held next Monday.
The meeting will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stillwater Area High School. Officials with the Minnesota and Wisconsin state transportation departments will be on hand to explain plans for the project, answer questions and hear the concerns of people who live and work nearby.
The bridge should be completed by 2016. Barges should take the next two or three months to complete test shafts into the river bed for structural-load testing.
