MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewer losing streak has reached four in a row and six out of seven after Milwaukee finished on the short end of a 5-4 score Saturday to the Minnesota Twins.
Meanwhile the Twins' winning streak has reached four.
Trevor Plouffe pounded a solo home run in the top of the 11th to give the Twins the victory. The Brewers had left men on first and third the inning before. Manny Parra gave up the homer and took the loss in his first decision of the year. Milwaukee batters struck out a season-high 14 times. Aramis Ramirez had a two-run homer to tie the score in the eighth, but he was also the one who left the winning run on third in the 10th. Both starting pitchers, Carl Pavano and Yovani Gallardo, pitched well. Gallardo went six innings, allowing three hits and one earned run. Nyjer Morgan had three hits in the loss.
