NEW RICHMOND - New Richmond Police Department are searching for an inmate from the St. Croix County Correctional Center in New Richmond.

Inmate Marcus P. Ebbers, enrolled in the Challenge Incarceration Program, is described as six-foot, three-inches tall, caucasion, 190 pounds with brown eyes and shortly-clipped brown hair. He was last wearing gray shorts and a light tee shirt.

He is a non-violent offender, according to police, however caution should be used. If you see anyone matching that description call 911 immediately. Do not approach the subject.

Ebbers was in his fifth month of an 18-month term for bail-jumping and possession of TCH from Racine County.

According to St. Croix County Dispatch information, Ebbers ran away from the New Richmond facility sometime between 3 and 4 a.m. today (Tuesday). At around 5:30 a.m. this morning, the escapee was believed to be somewhere between Boardman and Burkhardt.

At least one deputy and his K-9 partner were assisting in the search about dawn, Tuesday.
