CHICAGO - Chicago's Paul Konerko went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and Alex Rios added a solo shot to back seven scoreless innings from Chris Sale as the White Sox shut out the Twins 6-0 last night in the Windy City.
Sale struck out six and allowed just two hits with a pair of walks to improve to 5-and-2 on the season. Former Twins A.J. Pierzynski and newly-acquired Orlando Hudson each plated a run for the Sox, who have won five of their last six games.
Former Twin Philip Humber is scheduled to start for Chicago tonight against Eden Prairie native Cole DeVries of the Twins in tonight's series finale.

Oakland A's slugger Manny Ramirez might not make his return to the majors next week in Minneapolis afterall. The veteran outfielder has recently been playing at Triple-A Sacramento as he completes a 50-game drug suspension stemming from last year. He was expected to make his 2012 debut next Wednesday against the Twins in Minneapolis. Wednesday is his 40th birthday and is the first day is he eligible to return to the big leagues. However, A's manager Bob Melvin says he wants to make sure Ramirez is swinging the bat well and ready to play, so he might stay in Sacramento a few extra days.
