WILLMAR - Charges are pending against a woman for impersonating a Willmar Police officer on Facebook.
Police Chief Dave Wyffels says they began getting complaints last month that someone on Facebook was posting racial slurs and saying they were an officer from Willmar. He says they were able to determine who the suspect was and get a confession through a search warrant. He says making these types of comments and then presenting themselves as a police officer can be very damaging to the Willmar Police Department.
The suspect is from the Willmar area and faces a misdemeanor charge of impersonating a police officer.
