There’s nothing there but an empty lot and a lot of rubble. Curious drivers were passing by the location in the 48 hundred block of North Iroquois Avenue in Glendale all day Sunday. The house which used to be located there was flattened by an explosion. The elderly man and woman who were inside are still in a Milwaukee area hospital. The explosion and fireball damaged nearby homes, though many of the residents who were evacuated have been allowed to return. The man inside the house was 88 years old and the woman was 78. Their names haven’t been released. The man is in serious condition at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital and the woman’s condition hasn’t been released. Three other people injured by the explosion and fire were treated and released. No cause for the blast has been pinned down yet.
