Spring Valley Hawks win on Military Appreciation Day

The Spring Valley Hawks amateur baseball team held a special Military Appreciation Day at their home field, Syverson Park, last Sunday.

The Spring Valley Hawks amateur baseball team held a special Military Appreciation Day at their home field, Syverson Park, last Sunday. The team won their contest over the Twin Cities Saints 7-1. Here is a photo of the team after the ballgame.

The St. Croix Valley League schedule gets active again this Friday as Prescott is at Menomonie and Ellsworth at Osceola, both 7:30 p.m. contests.

Saturday's game feature Ellsworth at Plum City at 1 p.m., River Falls at Hager City at 1 p.m. while on Sunday Elmwood is at Prescott and Hager City is at Bay City. Both contest also will start at 1 p.m.

Spring Valley's next league game is Wednesday, June 6 at home as the Hawks take on Hudson.
