Rickie Weeks also started to show some life with the bat, pounding a single and a double and reaching base four straight times. And, they got a strong seven inning effort from starting pitcher Shaun Marcum. He allowed only five hits and no walks, striking out eight batters as he picked up his fourth victory of the season.
Milwaukee has been victorious in five of its last six games, though the injury-riddled defending National League Central Division Champions are still five games below .500. Cody Ransom drove in two runs and made a spectacular play in the sixth inning.
