FOSTER -- A Maplewood, Minn., woman and two children were injured early Monday when the driver lost control of her car, ran off I-94 and overturned, ejecting both children from the vehicle.

Tanisha R. Wade, 27 and Briana Wade, 9, were transported by helicopter and ground ambulance, respectively, to Mayo-Eau Claire from the crash scene near Mile 81 at Foster. A second child -- 20-month-old Raenyia Porter, also of Maplewood, was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

None of the three suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol and none were using seatbelts or restraints when the 2011 Mazda crashed about 6:44 a.m.

The Patrol said Wade was westbound on the interstate when she lost control, struck a barrier on the median side of the highway, then traveled across both lanes of traffic and up an embankment before rolling over and coming to rest in a drainage ditch east of the off ramp.

Driver Wade was trapped and had to be freed while the two children were thrown from the car.

Agencies assisting included the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department, Osseo police and fire, Mayo Health Systems and Marshfield Hospital, Spirit Air.

Traffic was detoured for nearly two hours while the scene was cleared.

The crash remains under investigation.
