Letter: Government creates laws to increase power, enslave citizens, he says

TO THE EDITOR: On Jan. 1, another 40,000 new federal laws hit the books.

It only took 10 of God’s laws to prove that mankind was a law-breaker. Unlike God’s law, which increased grace and lifted mankind, our government creates numerous laws to increase its own intrusive power and enslave citizens.

If we lie to congress it is a felony, but if they lie to us, it is dismissed as “just politics.” The law allows the killing of the unborn, but it is wrong to execute a mass murderer. In our public schools, you can teach that evolution is indisputable, homosexuality is an acceptable life alternative and the economically-parasitic illegal alien is justified, but don’t mention “God” or hang the 10 commandments on the classroom wall. They don’t protect our border with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea.

Due to global warming, we don’t burn books, we now rewrite them. Our right to freedom of speech is restricted to only that deemed politically correct. They attacked the threat of socialism and communism by renaming it “progressive.” If you speak out against the government, you’re labeled a “terrorist,” but if you burn the American flag, it is your first amendment right. You can have pornography on your cell phone, TV and computer, just don’t put a nativity scene on the courthouse lawn. They take money from those who work hard for it, and give it to their campaign donors and friends.

They conduct illegal surveillance of citizens with audio and video equipment in public, unwarranted wire taps, web and GPS monitoring, drones, x-ray scanners and personal body searches. Everyone supports the constitution, as long as it supports their own political ideology. When those who swear to uphold constitutional law ignore it, they are more corrupt than most imprisoned criminals.
