-- The Minnesota Vikings practiced for the third and final time this week with a workout at team headquarters yesterday.

The session is part of Organized Team Activities, where players are allowed to practice together in football-related drills ten times during the offseason. Minnesota will have four more practices next week, followed by a minicamp on June 19th. Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson says he is trying to become more of a leader on this team this season.

More than 80 concussion-related lawsuits against the NFL are now merged into one. Lawyers representing more than two-thousand former NFL players have filed a "master complaint" in U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania. The suit alleges the league knowingly withheld from players its knowledge of the link between football-related head injuries and long-term neurological damage.

Two more gametimes have been set for the 2012 Golden Gopher football season. The September 8th Minnesota home opener against New Hampshire will kickoff at TCF Bank Stadium at 11 a.m. And, the Minnesota-Western Michigan game the following week, September 15th at TCF Bank Stadium, will also begin at 11 a.m. Start times for four other games had previously been announced. The season opener at UNLV on August 30th will kick off at 10 p.m., while Minnesota's home game against Syracuse on September 22 starts at 7 pm. The Minnesota at Iowa game on September 29th is an 11 a.m. kickoff, while the Gopher home game against Northwestern on October 13th is set to begin at 11 a.m.

The Minnesota Twins open up a three-game interleague series against the Chicago Cubs this evening at Target Field. P.J. Walters will toe the rubber opposite Travis Wood in the opener. The Twins took two-of-three from the Kansas City Royals in their last set to improve to 22-and-34 on the season. Tonight's first pitch is set for 7:10 p.m.
